Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking Speech-Language Pathologists to provide home-based Early Intervention services for infants and toddlers.

You will conduct developmental assessments, deliver speech therapy, and coach families within the child’s natural environment, both at home and in community settings. The role emphasizes family-centered coaching, IFSP-based goals, and ongoing progress reporting, with a sign-on bonus and flexible scheduling options.

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in California
• Pediatric experience with Early Intervention preferred
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy using the Parent Coaching Model
• Follow IFSPs and help families develop strategies to meet goals
• Utilize family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and ensure progress generalization
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment (homes, daycares, community settings)
• Write progress reports and conduct re-assessments bi-annually
• Maintain confidentiality in line with HIPAA and regulations

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
