Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to serve infants and toddlers in home-based Early Intervention settings. You will work with families to build communication skills within natural environments and IFSP goals, using a family-centered coaching approach.

The position offers flexible scheduling, sign-on incentives, travel considerations, and professional development support, with committed teamwork across a nationwide program across California.

Qualifications

• California SLP license required
• Pediatric experience preferred
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services using the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow IFSP and work with families to develop strategies to help each child reach developmental goals
• Utilize family-centered parent coaching to build caregiver confidence and skill transfer
• Provide services in the child's natural environment (homes, daycare, community settings)
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
