Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. seeks a Speech Therapist to provide home-based early intervention services to infants and toddlers. You will assess needs, develop goals, coach families, and deliver therapy in the child’s natural environment, including homes and community settings.

The role requires CA licensure for Speech-Language Pathology, pediatric EI experience, and strong interpersonal skills. Bilingual Spanish is a plus, with a supportive team and flexible scheduling.

Qualifications

• California Speech Language Pathology license required.
• Pediatric EI experience preferred.
• Strong clinical and interpersonal skills required.
• Spanish language skills a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy services.
• Follow IFSPs and collaborate with families to reach developmental goals.
• Use family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and skills.
• Deliver services in child’s natural environment (homes, daycare, community).
• Prepare reassessments and progress reports bi-annually.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal laws.

Sunny Days of California, Inc. specializes in the area of early intervention, serving children with developmental needs from birth to three years of age. Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
