Job summary

Sunny Days of California, Inc. is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to provide early intervention services for infants, toddlers and families in home-based settings across California. The role emphasizes family coaching, IFSP-driven goals, and pediatric communication development.

The position involves collaborating with families in natural environments, documenting progress, and ensuring confidentiality under HIPAA and applicable regulations.California licensure is required.

Qualifications

• Licensure to practice SLP in California.
• Early Intervention pediatric experience preferred.
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred.
• Bilingual Spanish is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Conduct developmental assessments and provide speech therapy services using family coaching.
• Follow IFSPs and help families develop strategies to meet goals.
• Utilize family-centered coaching to build caregiver confidence and generalize progress.
• Deliver services in the child’s natural environment and community settings.
• Perform re-assessments and write progress reports bi-annual.
• Maintain confidentiality per HIPAA and state/federal regulations.

Sunny Days is a nationwide agency and has programs throughout the state of California. Our programs are multidisciplinary, providing occupational, physical, and speech therapy, as well as child development services.

Job Responsibilities:

• Conduct developmental assessments, provide speech therapy services utilizing the Parent Coaching Model (Rush & Sheldon)
• Follow each child’s Individualized Family Service Plan (IFSP) and work with the family to develop strategies to help each child reach their specific developmental goals
• Utilize the family-centered parent coaching approach to build caregivers’ confidence and skills and to ensure that progress is generalized
• Provide services in the child’s natural environment, in families’ homes, daycare centers and/or other community settings.
• Provide re-assessments and write progress reports (typically bi-annual)
• Maintain confidentiality of information regarding children and families (in accordance with HIPAA and/or State/Federal regulations)

Requirements:

• California Speech Language Pathology license
• Pediatric experience required (Early Intervention experience preferred)
• Home-based service delivery experience preferred
• Strong clinical & interpersonal skills
• Excellent written & oral communication skills
• Bilingual in Spanish a plus!
