Job summary

Soliant is seeking a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist for a school-based role in California. The position is onsite with one remote day per week for paperwork, supporting a caseload and collaboration with teachers and staff.

Required: Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology; valid state license; CCC preferred. Ideal candidates have experience in schools and strong collaboration skills. Competitive pay and benefits offered.

  • CCC from ASHA is preferred.
  • Experience working in a school setting is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Identify students with communication impairments.
  • Collaborate with educational staff to determine impact on progress.
  • Develop and assist in implementing instructional modifications.
  • Provide materials that promote communication development to educators and families; participate in IEPs.
  • Maintain records and performance data.
  • Supervise para-educator and graduate students; mentor new SLPs.

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program required.
  • Valid TX State Speech-Language Pathologist license.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA) is preferred.
Previous Experience Working In a School Setting Is Preferred.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • Ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team.

Date: 26/27 School Year

Full Time - 1 day work from home for paperwork/week

Caseload: Discussed in an interview

Pay: Dependent on experience

Performance Responsibilities
  • Identify students with communication impairments.
  • Collaborate with other educational staff to determine the impact of communication impairment on student progress.
  • Develop and assist in the implementation of instructional and curricular modifications.
  • Provide materials that promote communication development to other educators and families. Participate in student IEP development and implementation.
  • Develop and maintain a caseload intervention schedule providing time for direct and indirect services, classroom collaboration and co-teaching, screenings and evaluations, materials preparation and voice output device programming.
  • Maintain student records and performance data.
  • Supervise speech/language-trained para-educator and graduate students as assigned.
  • Mentor to new speech/language pathologists.
  • Participate as required on Building Student Improvement Teams, speech/language department committees and projects, special education committees, projects, or audits.
  • Provide in-service to colleagues.
  • Must complete all Special Education paperwork including IEPs and Medicaid billing.
