Role Description

The Speech Language Pathologist is a full-time, on-site role based in St. Clair Shores, MI. This role involves evaluating and treating pediatric clients with a range of communication, speech, language, and feeding/swallowing needs using evidence-based, relationship-centered approaches. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting assessments, developing individualized treatment plans, providing direct therapy sessions, and documenting progress in accordance with professional and regulatory standards. The Speech Language Pathologist will collaborate closely with families and a multidisciplinary team to create functional goals, share home strategies, and ensure continuity of care. Additional responsibilities include participating in team meetings, maintaining licensure and continuing education, and contributing to a supportive, inclusive clinic environment.

Qualifications
  • Demonstrated skills in Speech Therapy and pediatric Speech assessment and intervention.
  • Experience working with Communication Disorders and Language Disorders in children and adolescents.
  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program and current state licensure (or eligibility) as an SLP in Michigan.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) or strong progress toward completion is preferred.
  • Knowledge of neurodiversity-affirming, trauma-informed, and family-centered care practices.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and documentation skills, with the ability to collaborate in a multidisciplinary team.
  • Experience in pediatric settings (outpatient clinic, school, or early intervention) is highly beneficial.
