Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat patients with swallowing and communication disorders in Raleigh, NC. You will establish goals and implement therapy programs based on comprehensive evaluations within a coordinated clinical team.

The role requires a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and a current state license (or eligibility). Strong interpersonal, fiscal and clinical skills are essential to deliver individualized, evidence-based care.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license as Speech-Language Pathologist or ability to obtain before start.
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and treat patients with swallowing disorders and communication impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
• Establish treatment goals and develop/implement speech pathology programs based on full clinical evaluation.
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients as part of a coordinated team.
• Participate in clinical conferences to coordinate patients’ plans of care.
• Treat residents one-on-one through private sessions using a functional-based approach.

Job description

• Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
• Establish treatment goals and develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based on a full clinical evaluation
• Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
• Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patients’ plans of care
• Treat residents one-on-one through private, individualized treatment sessions using a functional-based treatment approach

Requirements

• Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
