Job summary

Jobtailor is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat residents in a senior living setting using evidence-based therapeutic techniques.

The role involves establishing goals, developing treatment plans from full evaluations, and delivering private one-on-one sessions as part of an interdisciplinary team. Collaboration with rehab therapists and care teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Pathology from an accredited program.
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (or ability to obtain before start).
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
• Minimum commitment of 8 hours per month to maintain active employment.

Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on full clinical evaluations
Provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patients’ plans of care
Treat residents one-on-one through private treatment sessions using a function-based treatment approach
Deliver personalized therapeutic and rehabilitative care to senior living residents
Collaborate with rehabilitation therapists and care teams

Requirements

• Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school
• Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
• Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
• Minimum commitment of 8 hours per month to maintain active employment
