Job summary

Plumas District Hospital is seeking an experienced Speech Language Pathologist to assess and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders across ages. The role includes care in the swing bed program and skilled nursing facility, with family training and collaboration across disciplines.

The position offers per diem, non-benefited compensation with options for remote work some days. California licensure and CCC/CCCSLP credentials are required.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of a Speech Language Pathology curriculum with a Masters or Doctorate in SLP (CAA accredited).
  • Must hold current California SLP License.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification (AHA).
  • CCC-SLP certification.
  • CCCSLP-ASHA certification.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech-language pathology services to patients across age groups and diagnoses.
  • Treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders.
  • Provide training to family/caregivers and educate across disciplines.
  • Participate in swing bed program and skilled nursing facility care as prescribed.

Job description

The Speech Language Pathologist is an experienced clinician who is fully competent to prevent, evaluate and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, aural rehabilitation and swallowing disorders for a wide variety of ages and diagnosis. Utilizing advanced skills and techniques to solve patient care needs in an accurate and efficient manner and provide Speech Therapy services to patients in the swing bed program and skilled nursing facility as prescribed and ordered by the attending physician. Also, provide training and education to family/caregivers and work collaboratively with professionals from other disciplines.

Compensation For Non-Benefited, Per Diem Pay Scale
  • Base Rate $66.61-$94.97 per hour
  • Starting pay is determined using our clinical pay scales, which feature 13 steps recognizing up to 30 years of relevant experience.
  • Eligible employees may also receive shift differential and holiday pay
  • Per Diem, non-benefited
  • Estimating two-eight days working per month.
Education
  • Graduate of a Speech Language Pathology curriculum with either a Masters or Doctorate degree accredited by the Council on Academic Accreditation in Audiology and Speech-Language Pathology (CAA).
  • Must hold current California Speech Language Pathologist License.
  • Current Healthcare Provider BLS Certification, approved by the AHA.
  • Certified Clinical Competence in Speech Language Pathology (CCCSLP-ASHA)
  • Certification of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP)
  • Compliant with state regulatory requirements.
