Job summary

Southern Ohio Medical Center in Portsmouth, OH is seeking a part-time Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for day shift. As part of Lifepoint Rehabilitation and Lifepoint Health, you will join a mission to deliver exceptional, compassionate care to our communities.

You will assess speech, language, and swallowing, develop and implement treatment plans, educate patients and families, document progress, and collaborate with the care team.

Qualifications

  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
  • Experience in acute or rehab setting preferred.
  • Current SLP license and ASHA certification.
  • CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

  • Assess speech, language, and swallowing abilities.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans based on patient needs.
  • Provide education to patients and families regarding therapy goals.
  • Document evaluations, treatments, and patient progress accurately.
  • Collaborate with healthcare teams on care coordination.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
