The Healthcare Resort of Plano, TX is seeking a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house rehab program. We provide post-acute, long-term and geriatric services; you’ll screen and evaluate patients, develop care plans and deliver rehabilitative therapies in accordance with standards.

Qualified candidates will have a Speech-Language Pathologist license. New grads welcome. This PRN role offers a flexible schedule within our supportive team and CAPLICO values guidance.

Responsabilidades

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care; develop care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions per regulatory standards.
• Assist with patient transfers, standing/walking, and related physical demands as needed.
• Administer procedures within rehabilitation plans, including manual techniques, exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries compliant with regulatory requirements.

The Healthcare Resort of Plano, TX, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services provided. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated PRN Speech-Language Pathologist for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
