Job summary

Ensign Services, Inc. seeks a PRN Speech-Language Pathologist in Monticello, FL to join an in-house rehab team focused on geriatric care. The role covers screening, evaluation, and implementation of rehabilitation plans across patients with various physical disorders.

Licensed SLPs at all experience levels are invited to apply. Strong communication, patient care, and documentation skills are essential for success in this role with a supportive, values-driven team.

Responsibilities

• Conduct screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care.
• Deliver rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions per regulatory standards.
• Perform standing/walking tasks and assist with lifting, transferring and repositioning as needed.
• Administer rehabilitation procedures: manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, assistive devices, wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other providers.
• Generate discharge summaries complying with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Our expanding network of in-house therapy Ensign-affiliate operated healthcare facilities is growing, and we are scouting for excellent therapists to join us in Monticello, FL. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking dedicated PRN Speech-Language Pathologists for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
• Open to SLPs at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
