Job summary

The Healthcare Resort of Leawood in Leawood, KS is seeking a Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy team. You will conduct screenings and evaluations and provide rehabilitative, skilled treatment to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care.

Responsibilities

  • Screen and evaluate patients with functional disorders and develop care plans.
  • Deliver rehabilitative and medically necessary treatment interventions.
  • Assist with standing, walking, lifting, transferring and repositioning as needed.
  • Administer procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan and wound care.
  • Provide consultation to patients, families and caregivers.
  • Prepare comprehensive discharge summaries in compliance with regulations.

The Healthcare Resort of Leawood in Leawood, KS, is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric outpatient services provided. We are seeking a Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist to join our in-house therapy team. Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
  • Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
  • The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
  • Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
  • Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
  • Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.
Qualifications
  • Speech Language Pathologist license is required.
  • Open to SLPts at all experience levels. New Grads are welcome!
