Job summary

Recover-Care Healthcare seeks a Speech Pathologist to evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech or language disorders and to formulate individualized treatment programs.

The role requires graduate-level education in Speech-Language Pathology and a state license, with responsibilities including direct patient care, plan-of-care development, and documentation in line with regulations.

Qualifications

  • Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech Language Pathology.
  • State license as a speech pathologist required.
  • Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.
  • Under a physician’s direction, provides direct patient / resident treatment based on established plan of care.
  • Screens and evaluates Resident and develops appropriate care plan
  • Plans, directs, or conducts rehabilitative treatment programs to restore communicative efficiency of individuals with communication and / or swallowing or cognitive problems.
  • Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
  • Instructs residents, families, and caregivers to monitor speech and provide ways to practice new skills.
  • Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.
  • Maintains patient records in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Devises special tools and treatments for the specific needs of patients.

Duties/Responsibilities:
  • Evaluate, diagnose, and treat patients with speech, hearing, cognitive, or swallowing issues.

Education and Experience:
  • Graduate of an accredited Masters, or Doctorate in Speech language Pathology.
  • State license as a speech pathologist required.
  • Proficiency with all applicable state, federal, and professional standards
Physical Requirements:
  • Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
