Grangevillehealthandrehab in Idaho is offering a position for a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) who will evaluate and treat residents with speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities. The SLP will develop treatment plans based on physician's instructions and provide therapy in a sub-acute/skilled nursing setting.
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology, an active state license, and preferable experience in long-term care environments. Strong clinical skills and knowledge of geriatric care are essential.
Description
A Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) will evaluate and treat residents/patients with temporary or long-term speech, hearing, swallowing, and cognitive disabilities in compliance with state and federal guidelines. They will evaluate the resident’s/patient’s speech, language, cognitive-communication, voice, swallowing, and fluency and develop treatment plans. They will treat the residents/patients based on a physician’s treatment plan.
Education:
Bachelor of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
Licenses/Certification:
Current license in Speech Language Therapy as required by state law.
Valid CPR certification required.
Experience:
Six months experience in a long-term care environment preferred.
