Job description

Position: Speech Language Pathologist

A facility that provides high-quality care for both short-stay and long-term patients.

Position Overview

As a Speech Language Pathologist, you will be responsible for providing assessment, diagnosis, and treatment to patients with speech, language, and swallowing disorders. You will work with a variety of patients, including those recovering from injuries, illnesses, or disabilities, as well as those with developmental delays or communication disorders. This is a full-time position, Monday through Friday, with no weekend rotation.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct comprehensive evaluations to determine patients' speech, language, and swallowing abilities
  • Develop individualized treatment plans based on evaluation results and patients' goals
  • Implement treatment plans using evidence-based techniques and strategies
  • Monitor and document patients' progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
  • Collaborate with other healthcare professionals, such as physicians, occupational therapists, and physical therapists, to provide comprehensive care for patients
  • Educate patients and their families on strategies to improve communication and swallowing abilities
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records and documentation
  • Stay current with advancements and changes in the field of speech-language pathology through continuing education and professional development opportunities
Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited university
  • Current state license or eligibility for state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
