Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is seeking a full-time Speech Language Pathologist for long-term coverage in a Palos Park, IL middle school. The role starts August 2026 and runs through December 2026, with 1.0 FTE and a Monday–Friday schedule.

You will provide evaluations and therapy, develop IEP-aligned treatment plans, monitor progress, and collaborate with teachers and families to support student outcomes. Requires IL PEL with School SLP endorsement and IL SLP license; Master’s degree in Speech-Language

Qualifications

• Licensed Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois with School SLP endorsement (PEL)
• Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a SSC approved program
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, staff and families to support student communication and learning
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to service recommendations
• Maintain confidential student records in compliance with regulations
• Support various student communication needs across school settings
