Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist for a Vernon Hills, IL school setting. You will administer evaluations, develop and implement therapy plans, and provide speech and language services to students to support their communication goals.

You will collaborate with teachers, families, and the IEP team to monitor progress, document outcomes, and ensure compliant, high-quality services all school year.

Qualifications

• Must hold Illinois PEL with School SLP endorsement.
• Must hold Illinois IDFPR SLP license.
• Master's Degree in Speech Language Therapy from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to assigned students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals.
• Monitor progress and maintain accurate documentation and data.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication and learning.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to service recommendations.
• Maintain compliant and confidential student records per regulations.
• Support a range of student communication needs across school settings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support student success.

What We’re Looking For

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School SLP endorsement
• Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation SLP license
• Master’s Degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Speech Language Therapy
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skillsSchool-based experience preferred, not required
