Job summary

Mariner Healthcare is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to join our team in California. You will screen, evaluate, and implement plans of care for residents, focusing on communication and swallowing therapies.

Requirements include a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, California state licensure, and a Clinical Competency certification. Sign-on bonus and relocation support may be available.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
