Job summary

Mariner Healthcare in California is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) to evaluate and treat residents within established plans of care. You will perform screenings, assessments, and direct treatments, while maintaining accurate records and confidentiality.

Requirements include a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, CA state license, and Certification in Clinical Competency; with one year of clinical experience preferred. A sign-on bonus is available.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• Current California license to practice Speech-Language Pathology.
• Certification in Clinical Competency required or preferred.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment within the plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents on functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documentation per policy and regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) responsibilities within scope of practice and federal guidelines:

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with an established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents in accordance with company policy and state and/or federal regulations.

Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) Entry Qualifications and Skills:

• Master of Science degree in Speech Language Pathology.
• One (1) year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current license to practice Speech-Language Pathology issued by the state of California.
