Job summary

Mariner Healthcare is hiring a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role screens and evaluates residents, develops appropriate plans of care, and provides direct treatment in accordance with established guidelines and privacy rules.

Entry qualifications include a Master of Science in Speech-Language Pathology, California licensure, and Certification in Clinical Competency; one year of clinical experience is preferred.

Qualifications

• Master of Science degree in Speech-Language Pathology.
• One year of clinical experience preferred.
• Certification in Clinical Competency.
• Current California licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist.

Responsibilities

• Screens and evaluates residents and develops appropriate plan of care.
• Provides direct resident treatment in accordance with established plan of care.
• Administers, scores, and interprets specialized hearing and speech tests.
• Works with residents for functional swallow techniques.
• Maintains confidentiality of patient records.
• Completes required forms and documents per policy and state/federal regulations.
