Job summary

Sylvania is seeking a Speech & Language Pathologist for the 2026/2027 academic year. The position reports to the Director of Specialized Instruction and will be located in Michigan, with responsibilities defined in the attached job description.

Requirements include a Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent and a valid SLP license or a valid Elementary Teaching Certificate with SB endorsement.

Requirements

• Master’s Degree in Speech and Language Therapy or equivalent
• Valid Speech Language Pathologist License OR Valid Elementary Teaching Certificate with (SB) Speech & Language Impairment endorsement.

Preferred

• Certificate of Clinical competency.
• Extensive training and/or experience with language development and oral functioning.
• Ability to work effectively with parents as well as children
• Ability to work with staff as an effective team member
• Minimal skills in total communication or manual communication.
