Job summary

Ascension’s Rehabilitation team in Milwaukee, WI is seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist for PRN weekend rotations between St. Francis Hospital and Franklin Hospital.

You will evaluate and design personalized treatment plans for patients with diverse speech, language, and swallowing needs. This role emphasizes evidence‑based intervention, clinical documentation, and coordinated discharge planning to support patient recovery.

Qualifications

• BLS Provider required within 30 days of hire or transfer date.
• ASHA Speech-Language Pathologist credential within 12 months of hire; provisional license accepted until issued.
• Bachelor's degree required; Master's or Doctorate preferred.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate and design personalized treatment plans for speech, language, and swallowing needs.
• Provide evidence-based therapy interventions tailored to each patient.
• Educate patients and families to support home care and recovery.
• Maintain precise clinical documentation and participate in performance improvement initiatives.

What Minimum Requirements You’ll Need

Licensure / Certification / Registration

• Required Credential(s):
  • BLS Provider obtained within 1 Month (30 days) of hire date or job transfer date. American Heart Association or American Red Cross accepted.
  • Speech-Language Pathologist credentialed from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association obtained within 12 Months (1 year) of hire date or job transfer date. Speech language pathologist provisional license will be accepted until license is issued.

Education

• Bachelor's degree required. Master's degree OR Doctorate preferred.
