Job summary

Heritage Manor Care in Madera, California is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join their team. The SLP will be responsible for directing all aspects of quality patient care, ensuring compliance with Federal and State guidelines, and advocating for patients. Candidates must hold a Master’s degree in Speech/Language Pathology, relevant certifications, and ideally have 1-2 years of experience in a skilled nursing facility. Students in their Clinical Fellowship Year are also encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Licensure or Certification as required by State guidelines.
• CPR Certification.
• 1 year Speech/Language Pathology experience preferred.
• 1-2 years’ experience in a residential/assisted living or skilled nursing facility preferred.

Responsibilities

Provides, directs and supervises all aspects of quality patient care, including screening, evaluation and treatment, treatment planning, goal setting, family education and documentation, to assure the best outcome possible for the patient. The Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) assures that the patient care follows the organization’s guidelines; professional standards and community needs, and is in compliance with Federal and State guidelines. The SLP serves as a patient and rehabilitation advocate for current prospective patients, to all internal and external customers. Ensures cross-disciplinary coordination to provide consistent patient care. Participates in quality assurance and customer service activities.

Requirements

• Master of Science in Speech/Language Pathology.
• Licensure or Certification as required by State guidelines.
