Job summary

Ampersand Therapy in Lake Villa, IL is seeking a full-time bilingual Speech Language Pathologist to join our school-based team. You will provide evaluations and therapy, align with IEP goals, and collaborate with teachers and families.

The role requires fluent Spanish, a valid IL PEL with School SLP endorsement, and a Master’s in Speech Language Therapy. This is a 1.0 FTE, M-F position with competitive pay up to $65/hour and benefits.

Qualifications

• Bilingual Spanish required.
• Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an approved program.
• Valid IL PEL with School SLP endorsement and IL SLP license.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to assigned students
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with IEP goals
• Monitor student progress and maintain documentation
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support communication and learning
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to service recommendations
• Maintain confidential student records in accordance with regulations
• Support range of student communication needs across school settings
• Perform additional duties as assigned

What You’ll Do

What We’re Looking For

• Bilingual, fluent in Spanish (required)

• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School SLP endorsement

• Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation SLP license

• Master’s Degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Speech Language Therapy

• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills

• School-based experience preferred, not required
