Job summary

Ampersand Therapy is hiring a full-time Bilingual Speech Language Pathologist for a school setting in Lake Villa, IL. You will administer evaluations, develop and implement therapy plans, provide speech and language services, monitor progress, and collaborate with teams to support student outcomes.

Qualifications

• Master's degree in Speech Language Therapy from a PSC-approved program.
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with School SLP endorsement.
• Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation SLP license.
• Bilingual: Spanish required.
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Provide speech and language evaluations and therapy services to assigned students.
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans aligned with student needs and IEP goals.
• Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation and data.
• Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student communication and learning.
• Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to service recommendations.
• Maintain compliant and confidential student records in accordance with regulations.
• Support a range of student communication needs across school settings.
• Perform additional duties as assigned to support student success.

What We're Looking For

• Bilingual, fluent in Spanish (required)
• Valid Illinois Professional Educator License (PEL) with a School SLP endorsement
• Valid Illinois Department of Financial and Professional Regulation SLP license
• Master's Degree from a Professional Standards Commission approved accredited college or university in Speech Language Therapy
• Excellent oral, written and interpersonal communication skills
• School-based experience preferred, not required
