Los Arcos Del Norte Care Center in El Paso, TX is seeking a full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) to join its in-house rehab program. The role involves evaluating patients, delivering rehabilitative therapies, and coordinating discharge planning to support geriatric care.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Screen and evaluate patients with physical functioning disorders and wound care, developing care plans.
• Deliver rehabilitative treatment interventions according to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Assist with standing, walking, lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment as part of daily duties.
• Administer procedures as part of rehabilitation plans, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, and wound care.
• Provide counseling to patients, families, and caregivers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate discharge summaries in accordance with regulatory requirements.

LOS ARCOS DEL NORTE CARE CENTER - EL PASO, TX

Join our team and start making a difference! Los Arcos Del Norte Care Center in El Paso, TX is a post-acute care facility with long-term care, short-term care, and geriatric services. We can offer a stable and fun in-house therapy team to work with as well as excellent programs serving our geriatric clientele in their journey to recovery. We are currently seeking a dedicated Full Time Speech-Language Pathologist (CCC-SLP) for our in-house rehab program!

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct effective screening and evaluation of patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, developing appropriate care plans adhering to regulatory and clinical standards.
• Deliver rehabilitative, skilled, and medically necessary treatment interventions to patients with physical functioning disorders and/or wound care, in accordance with regulatory and clinical practice requirements.
• The role involves regular standing and walking throughout the facility and occasional lifting, transferring, and repositioning of patients and equipment. Physical demands vary throughout the day based on patient care needs.
• Administer various procedures as part of the rehabilitation plan, including manual techniques, ambulation, therapeutic exercises, modalities, use of supportive and assistive devices, and wound care.
• Provide consultation and counseling to patients, families, caregivers, and other service providers regarding physical disorders.
• Generate comprehensive discharge summaries of services provided, ensuring compliance with regulatory and clinical requirements.

Qualifications

• Speech-Language Pathologist license is required.
• Certificate of Clinical Competency (CCC) required.
