Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to evaluate and treat swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments in a senior living setting. You will conduct full clinical evaluations, establish treatment goals, and implement evidence-based therapy programs.

You will collaborate with rehabilitation therapists, participate in clinical conferences, and deliver private, functionally based treatment sessions to residents, coordinating care within a multidisciplinary team.

Qualifications

  • Master's Degree in Speech Language Pathology required.
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) or ability to obtain before starting employment.
  • Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills.
  • Ability to evaluate and treat swallowing disorders.
  • Ability to treat communication and cognitive impairments.
  • Ability to use evidence-based therapeutic techniques.
  • Ability to establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs.
  • Ability to provide rehabilitative services under specific medical orders.
  • Ability to participate in clinical conferences and coordinate patient care.
