- Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/cognitive impairments using evidence-based therapeutic techniques
- Establish treatment goals and develop and implement Speech Pathology treatment programs based on a full clinical evaluation
- Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team
- Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate patient plans of care
- Treat residents one-on-one through private treatment sessions using a functional-based treatment approach
- Build relationships with senior patients and collaborate with rehabilitation therapists
Requirements
- Master’s Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology school
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
- Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills
