Job summary

Legacy Healthcare Services seeks a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) to join a not-for-profit team delivering rehabilitative care in senior living communities. The role focuses on swallowing and communication/cognitive therapy, with a patient-centered approach and individualized private sessions.

Applicants must hold a Master’s in Speech-Language Pathology and be licensed or eligible for licensure. A supportive team, CEU opportunities, and career advancement are offered.

Qualifications

  • Masters Degree from an accredited graduate program in speech language pathology.
  • Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist / SLP, or ability to obtain prior to beginning employment
  • Excellent interpersonal, fiscal, and clinical skills

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate and treat patients for swallowing disorders and communication/ cognitive impairments, utilizing a variety of evidenced based therapeutic techniques
  • Establish treatment goals, as well as develop and implement appropriate Speech Pathology treatment programs based upon a full clinical evaluation
  • Provide rehabilitative services to patients under specific medical orders as part of a coordinated team.
  • Participate in clinical conferences to share and coordinate the plan of care for patients
  • Treat residents one on one so each patient gets individualized attention through private treatment sessions with a functional based treatment approach
  • Desire ability to individualize treatment sessions
