Elite Medical Staffing, LLC is seeking a Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) for a Skilled Nursing Facility in Carbondale, CO. This contract role offers $60/hour with a steady M-F, 8am–5pm schedule and ongoing opportunities to support patients with speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing needs.

Ideal candidates have at least 1 year of SNF experience, an active CO SLP license, and reliable transportation to assignments. Background checks and screenings are required.

Qualifications

• Active SLP license in Colorado
• Minimum 1 year experience in skilled nursing
• Reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete background and drug screening

Responsibilities

• Utilize EMR to record patients' medical information and vital signs
• Evaluate residents for speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing disorders
• Develop and implement individualized treatment plans to address identified communication and swallowing needs
• Provide speech, language, cognitive-communication, and swallowing therapy based on resident needs and treatment goals
• Assess swallowing function and recommend appropriate dietary modifications and swallowing strategies
• Monitor resident progress and modify treatment plans based on clinical findings and goals
• Educate residents, families, and caregivers on therapeutic techniques and communication strategies
• Accurately document evaluations, treatments, and resident outcomes
• Maintain compliance with facility policies, regulatory requirements, and professional practice standards

Responsibilities

An SLP working contract through Elite Medical Staffing at a skilled nursing facility may be expected to:

• Utilize EMRto record patients' medical information and vital signs

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year of experience working under an active SLP license
• Minimum 1 year of experience working in skilled nursing
• Must have reliable transportation to assigned facilities
• Must maintain consistent attendance and punctuality
• Able to push, pull, and lift at least 50 pounds
• Able to be standing and walking with frequent bending, reaching, and lifting with proper body mechanics
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States
• Willing to complete background and drug screening in accordance with applicable laws and regulations

Credentials Required

• Active and unencumbered COSLP License
• Government-Issued Photo ID or Passport
• CPR/BLS
• Resume
• Additional credentials may be required based on facility placement
