Job summary

East Stroudsburg University seeks a Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences Student Worker to greet and assist students, clients, and families at the ESU Speech and Hearing Center. Duties include inventory checks, equipment maintenance, mail handling, and supporting professors with events.

The role requires being a current ESU student with strong MS Office skills, excellent communication, and a professional, dependable attitude. Hours up to 20 per week, $10.00/hr, on-site employment.

Qualifications

• Current ESU student enrolled in Speech, Language, & Hearing Sciences.

Responsibilities

Speech, Language, & Hearing Science Student Worker

Responsibilities include:

• Must Greet and support students within the Speech, Languageand Hearing Sciences department, as well as clients and families receivingservices at the ESU Speech and Hearing Center.
• Check inventory and ensure clinical equipment is clean andmaintained and therapy rooms have appropriate clinical supplies and meetuniversal precaution standards.
• Handle and deliver mail received by the office daily.
• Make copies as requested by professors. Assist professorswith any special events as requested.
• Maintain a high quality of professionalism.

Qualifications:

• Current ESU Student. Must be proficient in the use of Office Windows-Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.
• Should have excellent communication skills, written and verbal, be able to answer phones and take messages when necessary.
• Must be professional, organized, and dependable with a high degree of integrity.
• Report to work as scheduled, complete assignments, respond to communication quickly.
• Must have a positive attitude and be courteous.
• Ability to communicate effectively with customers.

Pay Rate & Hours:

• $10.00 per hour
• Up to 20 hours per week subject to change.

Employment Eligibility & University Commitment

Must be at least 18 years old and have English literacy skills. Employment with ESU is contingent on the selected candidate passing a thorough background check that includes: FBI fingerprinting, PA Child Abuse, and employment.
