Job summary

Point Quest Group is seeking a Speech-Language Pathology Assistant to support students in a school-based setting under the supervision of a licensed SLP. You will help implement treatment plans and create therapy materials for verbal and non-verbal learners.

This role emphasizes collaboration with multidisciplinary teams, data collection, and family engagement to promote academic and social success.

Qualifications

  • Must have SLP-A license or be eligible in Texas.
  • DOJ/FBI background clearance or equivalent.
  • TB clearance.
  • Eligibility to work in the United States.
  • Strong communication and organizational skills.

Responsibilities

  • Implement treatment plans under the supervising SLP.
  • Develop therapy materials for verbal and non-verbal learners.
  • Deliver speech-language therapy tailored to students' needs.
  • Support families to foster resilience and engagement.
  • Maintain data collection and therapy notes on progress.

About the Role

Provide speech-language therapy support services to students in a school-based setting under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This role focuses on implementing treatment plans, supporting communication development, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams to help students succeed academically and socially.

What You’ll Do
  • Implement treatment plans developed by the supervising SLP
  • Develop therapy materials for verbal and non-verbal learners (AAC devices, visual icons, communication boards)
  • Deliver speech-language therapy tailored to students’ functional levels
  • Support students and families by fostering resilience, positivity, and engagement
  • Maintain accurate data collection, therapy notes, and documentation of student progress
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure effective service delivery
  • Follow guidelines for scheduling time off to minimize disruption to school operations
What We’re Looking For
Must Have
  • Current Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license (or eligibility) in the state of Texas
  • DOJ/FBI background check clearance (or equivalent)
  • TB clearance
  • Eligibility to work in the United States
  • Strong communication and organizational skills
Preferred
  • Prior experience in a school-based or pediatric setting
  • Familiarity with AAC devices and communication supports
  • Ability to work effectively within a multidisciplinary team
Physical Demands

Occasional exposure to environmental elements such as dust, pollen, and fumes; frequent standing, walking, reaching, and handling materials; ability to lift up to 50 lbs with or without reasonable accommodation; ability to work in moderate to high noise environments and perform essential job functions with or without assistive devices.
