Job summary

Exceptional Pediatric Therapy LLC in Houston, TX is seeking a passionate Speech Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our growing pediatric team. You will support SLPs in delivering child-centered speech-language therapy services in a welcoming clinic environment.

The role emphasizes collaboration with a multidisciplinary team, direct pediatric therapy, and contribution to individualized treatment plans to help children reach their communication goals.

Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or CSD.
  • Current SLPA licensure or eligibility to practice in Texas.
  • Experience with pediatric populations preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of speech-language therapy techniques and AAC.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with children.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team.

  • Document patient progress and session notes.
  • Prepare materials and resources for treatment plans.
  • Communicate with supervising SLPs, families, and caregivers.
  • Assist with screenings, assessments, and evaluations under a licensed SLP.
  • Maintain a safe, engaging therapy environment.

Responsibilities


  • Implement speech-language therapy treatment plans as directed by a supervising Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP)

  • Provide direct therapy services to pediatric patients targeting communication, articulation, language, and fluency goals

  • Document patient progress and maintain accurate session notes and data

  • Prepare therapy materials, activities, and resources to support individualized treatment plans

  • Communicate effectively with supervising SLPs, families, and caregivers regarding patient progress

  • Assist with screenings, assessments, and evaluations under the direction of a licensed SLP

  • Maintain a safe, engaging, and supportive therapy environment for pediatric clients


Requirements


  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders

  • Current SLPA licensure or eligibility for licensure in the state of Texas

  • Experience working with pediatric populations preferred

  • Strong knowledge of speech-language therapy techniques and AAC (Augmentative and Alternative Communication)

  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills

  • Compassionate, patient, and enthusiastic demeanor with children

  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary therapy team
