Job summary

Milestones Matter Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team in a school-based role with potential for clinic hours. You will work under the supervision of a licensed SLP to provide individualized speech therapy to children and document progress across a varied caseload.

Responsibilities include implementing treatment plans, collaborating with families and school staff, and maintaining accurate documentation.

Qualifications

  • Current Texas Speech-Language Pathology Assistant license or eligibility for licensure.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Compassionate, patient, and positive approach to working with children.
  • Excellent organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to maintain accurate and timely documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Ability to work both independently and collaboratively under the supervision of an SLP.
  • Comfortable managing a varied caseload and transitioning between multiple treatment sessions.

Responsibilities

  • Provide speech and language therapy to students and patients under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist.
  • Implement treatment plans and IEP goals established by the supervising SLP.
  • Provide engaging, individualized therapy targeting articulation, receptive and expressive language, social communication, and other communication needs.
  • Work with children from a variety of backgrounds, ages, and ability levels.
  • Collect data and accurately document progress toward established goals.
  • Complete treatment notes and other required documentation in a timely manner.
  • Communicate regularly with the supervising SLP regarding progress, concerns, and treatment needs.
  • Collaborate with teachers, school staff, families, and other professionals as appropriate.
  • Prepare therapy materials and maintain an organized treatment environment.
  • Manage multiple students and treatment sessions throughout the workday.
  • Participate in supervision, team meetings, and professional development as required.
  • Maintain patient and student confidentiality and follow all applicable professional, school, and clinic policies.

Job description

Milestones Matter Therapy is seeking a compassionate and motivated Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) to join our team. This position will be primarily school-based with the potential for additional clinic-based hours.

As an SLPA, you will work under the supervision of a licensed Speech-Language Pathologist to provide individualized speech and language therapy to children with a variety of communication needs. You will work with multiple students and patients throughout the day, implement established treatment plans, document progress, and collaborate closely with your supervising SLP and other members of the child's educational or care team.

We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys working with children, communicates well with families and team members, and can confidently manage a varied caseload while maintaining high-quality, individualized care.
