Job summary

The Wellesley School District is seeking a qualified Speech-Language Pathologist for a long-term substitute role at Wellesley Middle School. The candidate will join a collaborative team and support students district-wide during the SY 26/27. Strong communication skills and appropriate licensure are required.

Salary is competitive for substitute SLP positions, with daily rate expectations aligned to Massachusetts norms. This is a temporary, full-time equivalent position through the fall term.

Qualifications

• Graduate degree and licensure in Speech-Language Pathology are required.
• Experience with school-aged students is preferred.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Experience evaluating students using diverse assessments and writing IEP goals.

Responsibilities

Job Description

Wellesley Middle School is currently accepting applications for a Long Term Substitute Speech-Language Pathologist for the period 09/01/26 - Approximately 11/4/26. The ideal candidate will be an energetic, hardworking individual that believes all students can achieve at high levels. Candidate should be comfortable working as part of a team and have strong oral and written communication skills. A graduate degree, DESE licensure in Speech-Language and Hearing Disorders, MA Board of SLP are required and candidates should have previous experience working with school-aged students.

Candidates should also have experience in the following areas:

• evaluating students using a variety of assessments
• writing reports
• writing goals on IEPs and measuring progress
• providing services in both inclusion and pull-out settings
• working with students with a variety of disabilities

Position Type: Substitute

Salary: $314.85 to $347.11 Per Day
