Job summary

Wilmington Public Schools seeks a Long Term Sub - Speech and Language Pathologist at Wilmington High School in Wilmington, MA. The role focuses on direct services to high school students, data-driven progress tracking, and collaboration with SLPs, teachers, and families to implement goals.

The ideal candidate will hold MA DESE licensure in Speech Language and Hearing Disorders, ASHA Certification, and preferably a Master’s degree. Start date is immediate, with daily rate of 314 dollars.

Responsibilities

  • Provides direct small group or 1:1 services in a pull out model or within the classroom setting
  • Tracks progress using data collection
  • Consults with SLP to develop goals for students, and monitor progress
  • Provides services and maintains programs based on goals set by IEP or Learning Plan
  • Services needs of individual children and provides services one to one or in small groups as deemed appropriate
  • Serves as a consultant to classroom teachers as to how to better meet the communication needs of individual children within the group
  • Works in conjunction with the classroom teacher to incorporate the speech/language program into the curriculum
  • Works in conjunction with the team to create Educational Plans for annual reviews and provides input for students who are involved with the three-year re‑evaluation or initial evaluation
  • Attends parent conferences whenever needed
  • Maintains a positive learning environment
  • Perform other duties as designated by the Principal/Director of Student Support Services or his/her designee

Job Requirements
  • EXPERIENCE PREFERRED: Previous experience working as a SLP with high school students in a public school setting. ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS: - MA DESE licensure in Speech Language and Hearing Disorders - ASHA Certification START DATE: August 27, 2026 - February 5, 2027
  • At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
