This temporary position will be assigned to the Department of Health and Human Services. This position is located at 932 Old Highway 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
The Speech and Language Pathologist provides communication services, dysphagia assessments and monitoring and assistance to residents with Developmental Disabilities and neuro cognitive disorders who reside at BMNTC. Position provides direct assessment, consultation, and training to residents, resident representatives, members of the interdisciplinary treatment team, and other key departments to ensure provision of services. This position is part of the Therapeutic Services Team (TST). BMNTC is a comprehensive, long term, 24-hour residential environment serving persons with Dementia and/or Developmental Disabilities, who require continuous medical/physical support and comprehensive services coordinated by an interdisciplinary team in compliance with OBRA 87 Regulations. Hourly salary to be based on education and/or years of relevant work experience as reflected on the application.NOTE: Qualified applicants must meet and CLEARLY reflect on their application training and experience and all knowledge, skills, abilities, and any experience or competencies specified in the posting and/or supplemental question(s) to be considered.
