This temporary position is located in Black Mountain - Buncombe County, at the Department of Health and Human Services, 932 Old Highway 70, Black Mountain, NC 28711.
The Speech and Language Pathologist provides communication services, dysphagia assessments, and monitoring and assistance to residents with Developmental Disabilities and neurocognitive disorders at BMNTC. Responsibilities include direct assessment, consultation, and training for residents, resident representatives, and the interdisciplinary treatment team to ensure quality services.
This is a temporary position with no leave or retirement benefits. Temporary employees working an average of 30+ hours/week may be eligible for health insurance under the High Deductible Health Plan (HDHP). For more info, visit www.shpnc.org.
Applicants must be licensed by the Board of Examiners for Speech and Language Pathologists and Audiologists and meet the minimum education and experience requirements, which can include an equivalent combination of education and experience.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities include:
Preferred management experience includes working with individuals with neurocognitive disorders and advanced dysphagia diagnosis and interventions.
