Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) seeks a dedicated special education teacher to support K-12 students in in-district classrooms and standalone schools.

You’ll diagnose and address learning, social, and emotional skill gaps, collaborating with school teams and families to deliver SESI’s PBIS-based instructional models. Responsibilities include creating individualized lesson plans, managing behavior, maintaining IEPs/BIPs, and tracking student progress.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution.
• Valid teaching credential appropriate to the role.
• Commitment to learning and implementing feedback.

Responsibilities

• Teach a diverse group of students using SESI models and curricula.
• Develop and maintain individualized skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Implement behavior management and intervention strategies.
• Maintain student documents (IEPs, BIPs, incident reports).
• Drive and track student growth toward academic, social, and emotional goals.
• Supervise students during transitions within the school.
