Job summary

Specialized Education Services, Inc. (SESI) is seeking a SPED teacher to support K-12 students with special needs. You will implement data-driven instruction, collaborate with school teams and families, and tailor plans to promote academic, social, and emotional growth.

Join SESI’s nationwide network with smaller class sizes, ongoing professional development, and a PBIS framework called CASE. A bachelor’s degree and teaching certification are required, with paid training and credentialing

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution; teaching certification preferred.
• Ability to learn and implement feedback.

Responsibilities

• Work with diverse group of students from varying backgrounds.
• Teach knowledge and skills, nurture confidence and character, provide individualized attention.
• Use assessment data to modify short- and long-term plans to promote academic performance.
• Develop and maintain skill-appropriate lesson plans.
• Collaborate with team members to foster critical thinking and academic rigor.
• Apply the school’s behavior support and intervention strategies.
• Implement de-escalation techniques and crisis management when needed to ensure safety.
