Job summary

Orange Tree Staffing in Austin, TX is seeking a bright SPED Teacher to deliver education-based therapy services for the 2026-2027 school year. This in-person role places you in Life Skills, Resource, Inclusion, and SBS/SCORES classrooms across district schools.

You will conduct assessments, develop IEP-based instruction, collaborate with general education staff and families, and maintain accurate records. Certification EC-12 required; competitive weekly pay and benefits support the role.

Qualifications

• EC-12 Special Education certification required.
• Experience with IEP planning preferred.
• Strong collaboration with educators and parents.

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments to identify students’ learning needs and determine appropriate supports.
• Develop and implement individualized, evidence-based instructional plans tailored to each student’s IEP goals.
• Provide direct instruction and interventions to support academic, behavioral, and social-emotional success.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and school staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are effectively integrated into classroom instruction.
• Attend and actively contribute to IEP meetings, providing clear reports and updates on student progress.
• Monitor student performance regularly, adjusting instructional strategies and supports as needed based on ongoing assessments and collaboration.
• Maintain accurate documentation, including IEPs, lesson plans, progress reports, and assessment records.
• Stay current with best practices, special education law, and instructional strategies through research and ongoing professional development.
