Applitrack is seeking a SPED self-contained paraeducator to assist the supervising teacher and support instructional programs. The role requires direct student contact, data collection, and assistive support across classroom activities in a 29-hour work week in San Antonio, Texas.

Applicants should have a high school diploma or equivalent, with 48 college credits or ParaPro exam if in a Title I school. Prior experience with disabilities is preferred, and confidentiality is essential.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.
  • If working in a Title 1 school: 48 hours of college credit or pass the ParaPro exam.
  • Experience with individuals with disabilities preferred.
  • Ability to follow directions from special education teachers and related staff.
  • Strong data collection and stress-management skills.

Responsibilities

  • Assist supervising teacher in instruction and classroom programming.
  • Provide direct services to students in SPED self-contained setting.
  • Implement drills and record data for groups and individuals.
  • Supervise students and support behavior management per district policies.
  • Provide personal care support as needed (hygiene, etc.).
  • Prepare and adapt instructional materials under direction of the teacher.
  • Maintain confidentiality of student information.
