Job summary

The Home for Little Wanderers is seeking a Licensed SPED Teacher with a science focus for its Walpole, MA program. The role supports individualized education plans and behavior management within a comprehensive, therapeutic educational setting.

Under the principal's direction, you will contribute to IEP development, coordinate with a multi-disciplinary team, and ensure a safe classroom. Immediate start and full-time commitment are expected.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree and knowledge in science required.
• Massachusetts Educator Licensure required.
• Master's Degree in Education or a related field preferred.
• Special Education license desired.
• Previous experience in education and/or with the program population highly desirable.
• Computer literate including Microsoft Office and ability to learn new software applications.

Responsibilities

• Support implementation of individualized educational programs for students with special needs.
• Manage classroom behavior and crisis intervention as needed.
• Participate in multidisciplinary treatment teams and prepare related reports.
• Assist in creating IEPs and student progress updates.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom and monitor activities.
• Communicate with families to involve them in the educational program.
