Job summary

The Washoe County School District is seeking a Special Education Teacher to manage a caseload and implement WCSD policies, aligning instruction with district IEPs and state standards. You will plan and deliver differentiated instruction, assess progress, and maintain accurate records.

Collaborate with school teams, communicate with families, and provide supports across program areas described by WCSD to help students with disabilities access the curriculum and achieve IEP goals.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Special Education or related field.
• Valid Nevada teaching license for the applicable subject/grade.
• Knowledge of IEP processes and MTSS is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Plans and administers district curriculum aligned with Common Core and IEP instructions.
• Designs differentiated instruction and assessments aligned with standards.
• Maintains accurate records and IEPs within timelines.
• Collaborates with staff and communicates with families to support student progress.
