Job summary

Washoe County School District seeks a Special Education Social Resource Teacher at Reed High School to implement IEP-based instruction and coordinate with a multidisciplinary team. The role focuses on providing specialized supports within the Social Resource program and other related special education services.

The teacher will manage a caseload, align lessons to Common Core, document progress, and collaborate with staff. Nevada teaching license and a bachelor’s degree are required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree from an accredited college or university and the ability to obtain a Nevada teaching license.
• Experience implementing IEPs and aligning instruction to standards.
• Ability to design differentiated instruction and monitor student progress.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare lessons aligned to Common Core State Standards and IEP requirements.
• Deliver instruction and assessments with accommodations for students with disabilities.
• Maintain accurate records and IEP documentation within required timelines.
• Collaborate with service staff and administrators to support student learning.
• Promote positive learning environments and uphold school policies.
