Job summary

The Washoe County School District seeks a dedicated Special Education Teacher at McQueen High School to support students with disabilities under IEPs. You will design differentiated instruction aligned with Common Core, manage a caseload, and implement district policies and curricula.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree in Education or relevant field.
• Valid Nevada teaching license or ability to obtain one.
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs.
• Strong knowledge of Common Core and differentiated instruction.

Responsibilities

• Plan and prepare instruction aligned with Common Core and IEP requirements.
• Create and maintain a respectful, safe, and academically focused classroom environment.
• Deliver instruction, assess student progress, and embed assessment in instruction.
• Maintain accurate records and IEPs, and collaborate with families and staff.
