  • Trains teachers of SPED/504 students and general education staff on privacy and compliance.
  • Participates in professional development and staff meetings.
  • Assists in planning and implementing staff development and in-service programs for SPED.
  • Monitors SPED/504 students’ progress and coordinates instruction based on assessments.
  • Compiles and files required reports and documents for district, state and federal laws.
  • Ensures SPED classrooms are safe, organized and accessible.
  • Maintains communication with parents, students, principals and teachers about progress.
  • Collaborates with district personnel and regional centers on SPED/504 services.
