Job summary

SST Schools is seeking a SPED Teacher/Coordinator for Hill Country Elementary in San Antonio, TX. The role focuses on coordinating Special Education, Section 504, and Dyslexia services in compliance with federal, state, and district requirements.

You will lead staff development and ensure timely delivery of IEP/504 accommodations and related services. The position requires a Bachelor’s degree, 2+ years SPED teaching experience (preferred), and Texas SPED certification (preferred).

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university.
• Minimum 2 years of special education teaching experience (Preferred)
• Valid Texas Educator Certification with required special education endorsement (Preferred)

Responsibilities

• Coordinate SPED/504 and Dyslexia Programs according to federal, state, and district requirements.
• Monitor SPED/504 students’ progress and adjust instruction.
• Plan and facilitate ARD/504 meetings and related decisions.
• Collaborate with teachers and staff to ensure accommodations and modifications are implemented.
• Maintain required reports and documentation for compliance.
• Communicate with parents, principals, and staff regarding student progress.
