Job summary

Applitrack is seeking a Paraprofessional, Special Education (Sped) - Significant Support (LIFE/SSN) at Grand Junction High School. The role provides instructional, behavioral, and personal-care support to students with disabilities under licensed staff supervision.

Responsibilities include implementing IEP goals, assisting with data collection, and maintaining a structured learning environment while promoting student growth and independence. Requires strong communication and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required; Title I schools may require additional credentials.
• Two years of experience with children preferred; district experience preferred.
• Experience with students with disabilities or supporting significant needs preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) skills required when assigned to a bilingual program.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: Deliver teacher-designed instruction in various settings; assist with IEP goals and accommodations.
• Behavior Monitoring: Implement behavior plans; reinforce positive behaviors and monitor social-emotional needs.
• Personal Care and Safety: Assist with personal care needs and safety procedures; follow health plans.
• Data Collection: Record progress on IEP goals and communicate observations to licensed staff.
• Supervision and Collaboration: Supervise students; participate in meetings and collaborate with staff.
